How to split item stacks in Songs of Glimmerwick

Take only the amount you need

1. Open your inventory and locate the stacked item you plan to sell.
2. Use Ctrl when you need a single item, or Shift to split the stack.
3. Check the quantity you are holding before you put anything into the well. Keep the remainder in your inventory.

The Steam player asked this because they wanted to sell without losing the whole stack. Eastshade gave the two keyboard modifiers but did not describe every mouse action or a quantity dialog, so follow the active demo prompt for those details.

Then sell the separated item

For the well, Eastshade’s separate answer says to left-click the item in the bottom hotbar and left-click the well. Right-click consumes or equips eligible items. If the whole stack remains selected, stop before clicking the well and return to the inventory. See the selling guide for the full interaction.
