Apology Worms: five mole holes to check for the missing friend
Check the garden, Bristlecone’s house, Cypress frog pond and two Ochre Woods mole holes. A current reply lists these five entrances for the Apology Worms search. It does not confirm which hole always contains the friend, so this is a location checklist rather than a guaranteed Winter spawn.

The five reported entrances
- Beside your garden shed.
- Beside Bristlecone’s house, where the flute maker lives.
- On the east shore of the frog pond in Cypress Foothills.
- East of the lake in Ochre Woods; the reply says you need to cross by boat.
- Beside the river between Ochre Woods and Rosewheat Fields. From the children with Kaloula in Ochre Woods, follow the river upstream.
If you cannot enter a mole hole yet
The potion guide says to drink Potion of the Mole beside a mole hill. Its recipe comes from Secret Lives of Moles, sold by Hyla from Summer 2, and uses 2 Snap Tater, one Amber Dragon and one Ghost Shroom. Brew a bottle before trying the entrance. All five checked, but no friend?
Keep Apology Worms and compare your journal’s hand-in objective with the characters you find underground. The reporting player was in Winter; the helper suggests rechecking the holes and reporting a possible bug if the friend is absent. No successful reset, fixed daily schedule or automatic quest completion was posted. Record the checked entrances and game version instead of assuming another unknown hole is required.
