Where to find a Pack Owl that responds to the Gilded Toadstool
Look in Nocturne Forest past the Cave of Questions. The player who could not tame the owl in the mountains returned to report finding the Pack Owl there. They already owned a Gilded Toadstool and a habitat; this is a location-and-use answer after those preparations, not the complete unlock route for animal taming.

Try the forest owl rather than the unresponsive mountain one
- Reach Nocturne Forest and locate the Cave of Questions.
- Continue past the cave and look for the owl identified in the follow-up report.
- Have your Gilded Toadstool available before trying to tame it.
The original player found this owl shortly after asking the question. Their failed mountain interaction does not prove all mountain owls are permanently untameable; it identifies a different location that solved their search.
Use the potion with the reported mouse controls
A separate release-week taming reply says to right-click the Gilded Toadstool in inventory, then left-click the animal. Try that sequence at the forest owl and check the game’s response. On another input device, follow the corresponding visible item-use prompt; the sources do not provide a verified controller button sequence.
If the owl still does not respond
Compare the location and selected item before assuming the potion is broken. Record whether the owl is past the Cave of Questions, whether you selected the Gilded Toadstool, your current habitat/progression state and the installed version. The original player had already tamed other creatures, so their result does not establish the earliest possible unlock or whether a habitat is mandatory. No complete potion recipe or animal-limit rule is demonstrated in these replies.
