The garden
Where to find thyme: the blocked path beside the mud-pie seller
Go to the upper part of town and find the boy selling mud pies. A player identifies a path beside him that is blocked by a tree. Chop that tree to reach an older woman’s garden, where they report finding thyme.

Follow the reported landmark route
- Go to Wisk and look in the upper part of town for the mud-pie seller.
- Inspect the path beside the boy rather than searching ordinary tilled garden plots.
- Use the tree-cutting song to clear its blocking tree.
- Follow the opened path into the older woman’s garden and look for thyme.
The reply gives these landmarks, not a map coordinate or a named-house label. If a later patch changes the layout, compare the mud-pie seller and blocking tree first.
If the blocking tree will not clear
Check that you have obtained the woodcutting chant and completed its target step. The axe guide explains why searching inventory for a conventional axe misses the enchanted-tool system. The first garden lesson provides the earlier progression context. This thyme reply does not demonstrate bypassing the tree before that spell is available.
What this location report does not establish
The source answers where one release-week player found thyme. It does not list every thyme source, a purchase price, regrowth timing or permission rules for the garden. Gather the amount your current recipe actually asks for; this route is not a complete potion recipe or a claim that thyme is available on every day. For other early materials, compare the separate twigs and grass route.
