What to do with the Green Gem: use it on the common-room statue

Release-week player reports, read October 3 · Sources checked October 3, 2026

The short answer

Use the Green Gem on the statue on the left side of the common room. Replies suggest listening for the stronger chime, then selecting the gem with right-click and applying it to the target. If entering the room prevents movement, interaction and Escape, that is the reported frozen-event branch, not an instruction to stand still and listen longer.

When you can still move and interact

  1. Find the statue on the left side of the common room; the replies use the louder chime as a proximity clue.
  2. Right-click the Green Gem in inventory to select it, then apply it to the statue using your current item-use interaction.
  3. Check the resulting response. The question does not identify a controller mapping or the reward.

When the room freezes your character

The original player reported being unable to move, use items or open the menu on entry. Their later edit says the developer identified a known problem triggered by another common-room event. The normal statue advice was not confirmed to fix that frozen save. Version 1.01’s published notes do not specifically name a Green Gem or common-room fix. Preserve your save and report the active event and build if this is your branch; this page does not claim an unverified recovery sequence.
