How to shear sheep: unlock the shears recipe at the Summer camp
The reported unlock is a shears crafting recipe from a professor during the Summer camping event. Craft the shears after receiving that recipe. The player’s unsuccessful attempt used a scythe on the lambs in Rosewheat Field.

Reach the camping event and check the new recipe
- Progress to the Summer camping event; the reply places the unlock around that event, without a fixed calendar day.
- Follow the professor interaction that gives the shears recipe.
- Check that recipe’s displayed materials, craft the shears and return to the sheep.
- Use the shears interaction shown by your current build and check whether the sheep can now be shorn.
Scythe equipped, but nothing happens?
The reply directs the questioner to the shears unlock rather than another scythe input. It does not identify the professor by name, list recipe materials or demonstrate a controller button. This guide supplies the progression prerequisite, not an exact materials table. If you have finished the camp but the recipe is absent, keep the current quest text and crafting-list screenshot for a targeted follow-up. Cutting grass with the scythe is a separate task.
