Songs of Glimmerwick bathhouse: daily XP and missing water wear
The bathhouse benefit is XP once per day, not a mana refill, according to Eastshade. The developer says water wear is not in the demo. One June player describes a separate demo action: talk to the two students outside the classroom before Wednesday’s potion lesson, then sit on a bench inside the bath to receive 1 XP. Treat that amount and sequence as a player report, not a tested full-game reward table.

Try the reported demo bench action
- During the Wednesday period before the potion lesson, look for the two students outside the classroom. This is the point the reporting player identifies.
- Talk to them about the bathhouse activity, then visit the bathhouse and try the bench interaction described in that report.
- Compare your XP before and after sitting. The player reports a gain of 1 XP; Eastshade’s broader answer limits the bathing benefit to once a day.
These two statements come from different replies. The thread does not establish that every bench interaction has the same daily rule, or that repeating it grants another point. Check what your build actually awards.
Why can’t you find water wear?
The original player searched the wardrobe, bathhouse and clothing shop. Eastshade answered that the bathing clothing is obtained later and is absent from the demo. That is enough to stop an unsupported demo shopping hunt; it is not an exact location or quest step for the full release. The reported bench reward should not be presented as proof that you have unlocked bathing clothing.
Can you use the bathhouse to restore mana?
Eastshade directly corrected that assumption: the stated benefit is XP. Do not plan another spell cast around an expected mana refill from this activity. This thread does not document the game’s actual mana-restoration method, so we cannot substitute an invented potion, sleep rule or bath upgrade.
If the bench gives no visible XP
Check whether you are at the described point in the demo and whether the dialogue or interaction is available. Note the build, game day, earlier bathhouse interactions and before/after XP when reporting a different result. No clock-reset trick or guaranteed recovery is established. The time and event guide explains why a temporary NPC absence is different from permanently missing a story event.
