Time & events
Can you miss events in Songs of Glimmerwick?
Eastshade says story events do not expire when the clock moves on. At an important event, the clock becomes an event puck and waits until you attend; it also freezes each evening. You can tend the garden before going to the event. An NPC may still follow a daily schedule, so someone you need to speak with can be unavailable at night without the quest being lost.

What to do when an event puck appears
- Look for the event icon replacing the ordinary clock. Eastshade calls this an event puck.
- If you have something else to finish, do it first. The developer says you can take as long as you want before attending that event.
- Go to the marked event when you are ready to move the story forward.
This is Eastshade’s explanation of the game’s time design in response to demo players worried about missing activities. The thread does not provide a map location or route for every individual event.
If it becomes evening before you finish
The developer says the clock freezes every night, and some quests advance after you sleep. The immediate limit on how many garden jobs you do is mana or energy, not a nightly deadline. If a quest needs a particular character, check again during their active hours: a demo player reported that the brewmaster was unavailable at night. A waiting NPC is a scheduling issue, not evidence that the event has expired.
What this does not promise
The clock still moves during ordinary exploration, and NPCs have daily routines. Eastshade’s statement concerns the intended event and story progression; it does not establish that every character, shop or interaction is available at all hours. The full game is planned for September 30, 2026, so compare its live event prompts and any later patch notes before applying this demo-era explanation to a new build.
