Tea for Fern: recipe, trade and hand-in

1. Ask Chrys about Ginger Calming Tea and agree to the trade. The potion guide says she teaches Instagrow for this task.
2. Gather one Fiddlehead, 2 Morel and one Salt Pile. Hyla sells Salt Pile at Newt’s Eye; the guide lists Fiddlehead and Morel as year-round forage.
3. At a cauldron, Practice Instagrow until Brew is available, then Brew a bottle. Return to Chrys for the agreed tea trade.
4. Check inventory for Ginger Calming Tea, then return to Fern for the active tea errand. Debluing Tea cures Blueface and is not this requested drink.

Fern’s Confrontation after Strange Pamphlets

Story spoilers: the village walkthrough says silencing the printing press yields the Cacophony shard. Give it to Fern for 100 Gold Petals, or to the Headmistress for 300 and then talk to Fern. Either route starts Fern’s Confrontation. Meet Fern at the Northern Grounds door and follow her to the Green Sprites Headquarters. These are sourced route choices, not a claim that the rewards can be collected twice.

Completed Fern’s story, but Lost Key will not start?

A new player reports exactly that problem despite finishing Fern’s dialogue and quest. No successful activation fix was available in the rendered discussion this round. Completing the tea or confrontation is not proof that every Lost Key prerequisite is satisfied. Keep its exact journal text and NPC dialogue for follow-up; this page does not invent a reset, secret key location or extra gift requirement.
