Garden stall not responding? Unlock and use Amka’s bake stand
Amka’s bake stand is for selling home-made food: select a finished item and drop it onto the stand, rather than expecting a conversation or shop menu. The October 9 Steam reply identifies baked goods and pickles; the cooking guide supplies the missing unlock and deposit steps.

Unlock the stand across from the Magic Well
According to the community guide, finish three items in a cook fire or Pickling Machine. Milled Flour does not count toward this unlock. Accept Amka’s offer when she visits the garden; the stand appears two mornings later, across from the Magic Well. The guide does not require three different recipes.
Deposit food and collect the overnight income
- Take a finished home-made bake or pickle, keeping any quest food aside.
- Select and drop the item onto the stand as you would at the selling well.
- Check the overnight income. The guide reports a 20% stand bonus; the Steam respondent also recalls 20%, with an uncertainty qualifier.
If the stand will not take your item
Shop-bought food is excluded. Keep home-made food in a separate stack: the guide warns that merging it into a bought-food stack can make it count as bought. Flour from your own mill is accepted after the stand is unlocked, despite not counting toward the unlock itself. For your first bake, follow the dough and fireplace steps.
If a home-made item still fails
Record the exact item, its stack history and installed version. These sources explain the intended use; they do not establish a universal interaction-bug fix. Do not discard a quest item or reload progress just to test the stand.
