Tool Thief quest: choose “wait in bush” instead of standing nearby
Click the top-left bush at the quest’s hiding spot and choose “wait in bush.” A player who stood behind it from 3 PM until late had missed this interaction. The reply suggests trying after 9 PM, with uncertainty about the exact time; the original player thanked them for pointing out the choice.

Use the hiding interaction
- Return to the hiding location specified by your Tool Thief task.
- Interact with the top-left bush, rather than walking behind it and waiting normally.
- Select “wait in bush” when the choice appears. If you were trying early in the day, try the reported after-9-PM window.
If the choice is missing
Check that Tool Thief is at the waiting step and that you are targeting the bush itself. The exchange identifies the interaction that was missed; it does not establish a universal trigger time, controller button or reward. A missing choice is a different problem from standing nearby without selecting it.
